Understanding the Stages
The report breaks your pipeline into five standard stages:
Application - Candidates who submitted an application.
Screening - Candidates who reached the initial screening stage.
Interview - Candidates who progressed to interview rounds.
Offer - Candidates who received a job offer.
Completed - Candidates who were hired.
Reading the Metrics
For each stage, you'll see four numbers:
Started - Total candidates who entered this stage.
Proceeded - Candidates who advanced to the next stage.
Rejected - Candidates rejected at this stage.
In Progress - Candidates currently active in this stage (Started minus Proceeded minus Rejected).
Each metric also shows a percentage for example, a Proceeded ratio of 60% means 6 out of 10 candidates who started the stage advanced. Use these ratios to compare stages and spot where your funnel narrows most.
Filtering the Report
Use the filter bar to narrow the data:
Date range - Analyze a specific time window.
Department - Focus on a specific team.
Job - View pipeline data for a single role.
Owner - Filter by the recruiter managing the jobs.
✅ Tip: Compare two date ranges (e.g., Q1 vs Q2) by applying the filter, noting the numbers, then switching the range. This helps you see whether your pipeline conversion is improving over time. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does a stage show fewer Started candidates than the stage before it?
Each stage only counts candidates who actively entered that stage — not everyone who was present in the pipeline at a given time. Candidates skipped directly to a later stage may not appear in earlier ones.
What does 'In Progress' mean?
In Progress is the number of candidates currently sitting in that stage — they haven't been moved forward or rejected yet. A high In Progress count may indicate a bottleneck.
Can I export this report?
